Basic invoice generator

Enter your details, the customer and the items to get a tidy PDF invoice with exact totals. This is a basic invoice template only: it is not certified Saudi e-invoicing (ZATCA / Fatoora) and it is not tax-compliant software. Use this free invoice generator for quick, tidy invoices that you download as a PDF.

Processing and privacy: The invoice is built inside your browser. Your data and your customers’ data are not sent to any server.

How to use it

  1. Choose the document language, then type the invoice number yourself (for example INV-2026-0001), the invoice date, the due date and the currency.
  2. Enter your details and the customer’s. The name is required; the tax or registration number is optional free text.
  3. Add the items with a description, quantity and unit price, and watch each line total.
  4. Add a discount, a tax rate or an amount already paid if any, and write the payment details such as bank account information.
  5. Press “Create PDF”, check the preview and the page count, then download the file.

Example

The preloaded example: store design 1 × 3,500.00, annual hosting 1 × 600.00 and support 4 × 150.00 = 600.00, so the subtotal is 4,700.00 SAR.

Tax at 15% is 705.00, making the total 5,405.00. After a 2,000.00 advance payment the balance due is 3,405.00 SAR, the same figure in the summary and in the PDF.

Limits and caveats

  • A basic template only. It does not issue certified Saudi e-invoices (ZATCA / Fatoora): no tax QR code, no XML, no cryptographic stamp, no connection to the authority, and it is not tax-compliant software. If e-invoicing applies to you, use a certified solution. This warning is printed in the footer of every PDF page.
  • The tool does not store invoice numbers or generate a sequence. You type the number and you are responsible for keeping it unique.
  • One tax rate on the discounted amount; per-item rates and exempt items are not supported. Each line is rounded to the currency’s smallest unit and the lines are summed. A discount above the subtotal and a payment above the total are rejected.
  • Up to 200 items. A 45-item document spanning several pages, with the table header and the footer repeated on every page, was tested.
  • The embedded font covers Arabic and Latin; emoji are replaced with “?” and you are told how many. Arabic diacritics may sit slightly off and Arabic text copied out of the PDF may paste in the wrong order. Nothing is saved after you close the page, and a logo cannot be added.

Questions about this tool

Does this invoice meet Saudi e-invoicing requirements?

No. The tool only produces a formatted PDF. It creates no QR code or XML and does not connect to the Fatoora platform. Businesses subject to e-invoicing need a certified solution.

How should I number my invoices?

Type the number yourself. The suggested format INV-2026-0001 combines the year and a running number. The tool stores nothing, so it cannot know the last number you used.

How is the balance due calculated?

Subtotal minus discount, plus tax on the discounted amount, gives the total; the amount already paid is then subtracted. All maths is done in the currency’s smallest unit to avoid fraction errors.

Can I create a tax invoice with this tool?

You can create a PDF invoice that shows the tax rate, the tax amount and both parties’ tax numbers, but it is not a certified e-invoice. If your business must issue tax invoices from an approved e-invoicing system, issue them there, and use this tool for drafts or where no such rule applies to you.

Is this invoice generator free?

Yes, this invoice generator is free and needs no account or sign-up. Enter your details, the customer and the items, press “Create PDF” and download the file; everything happens in your browser. The result is an ordinary PDF invoice, not a certified e-invoice.
