How to use it
- Choose the document language (Arabic, English or bilingual), then enter the quotation number, date, validity date and currency.
- Fill in your details and the customer’s. The name is required; the other fields are optional.
- Add the items: a description, quantity and unit price for each one. The line total appears straight away.
- Pick a percentage or fixed discount if there is one, enter a tax rate if tax applies to you, and check the totals summary.
- Press “Create PDF”, check the page 1 preview and the page count, then download the file.
Example
The preloaded example: 10 headphones at 120.00 make 1,200.00 and 25 cases at 18.50 make 462.50, so the subtotal is 1,662.50 SAR.
A 10% discount is 166.25, leaving 1,496.25. Tax at 15% of that amount is 224.44 (224.4375 rounded), and the total is 1,720.69 SAR. The summary and the PDF show these same figures.
Limits and caveats
- The tool only lays out the quotation and calculates its amounts. It does not make a quotation legally binding and it gives no legal or tax advice; the effect of a quotation depends on your agreement with the customer and on the applicable law.
- Each line total is rounded to the currency’s smallest unit (2 decimals, or 3 for KWD, BHD, JOD and OMR) and the rounded lines are summed. The discount is applied before tax, and tax is one single rate on the discounted amount.
- Up to 200 items; numbers are read exactly to six decimal places. A 60-item document spanning several pages with a repeated table header was tested.
- The embedded font, IBM Plex Sans Arabic, covers Arabic and Latin. Emoji and unsupported letters are replaced with “?” and the tool tells you how many. Arabic diacritics may sit slightly off, and Arabic text copied out of the PDF may not paste in the right order in some programs.
- Nothing is saved: if you close or reload the page you will need to enter the data again. Logos and signatures cannot be added.
Questions about this tool
How are the discount and tax calculated?
The discount, whether a percentage or a fixed amount, is subtracted from the subtotal first, and tax is then calculated on the discounted amount. Leave the tax field empty and no tax line appears. A fixed discount larger than the subtotal is rejected.
What does a bilingual document look like?
Headings and labels appear in both languages, such as “الإجمالي / Total”, on a right-to-left page. The names and descriptions you type appear exactly as entered; the tool does not translate them.
Is my customer data sent to a server?
No. The PDF is built inside your browser, and the only file loaded from the site is the font. Names and prices are not uploaded anywhere.
How do I make a quotation?
You make a quotation here by entering your details, the customer and the items, then pressing “Create PDF”. Give each item a description, quantity and unit price, and set any discount, tax rate and validity date. The tool works out the subtotal, discount, tax and total and produces the file in Arabic, English or both.
What should a quotation include?
A quotation usually includes its number, date and validity date, the seller’s and the customer’s details, a table of items with quantity, unit price and line total, then the discount, tax and final total. All of these fields are in the tool, and payment or delivery terms go in the notes and terms box.
