WhatsApp link generator
Type the phone number in international format and the message you want pre-filled to get a wa.me link that opens the chat directly. The tool checks the number format only and sends nothing. It is a quick way to create a click-to-chat WhatsApp link for your shop, profile or website.

Processing and privacy: The link and the QR code are built inside your browser. The phone number and the message are not sent to any server, and the tool does not contact WhatsApp.
How to use it
- Type the full number with its country code, such as +966 50 123 4567, or pick the country code from the list and type the local number.
- Write the pre-filled message if you want one. It can contain Arabic, emoji and several lines.
- Copy the link, or press “Open link” to try it. Nothing is sent until you press send inside WhatsApp.
- Turn on the QR code option if you want to print the link or show it in your shop.
Example
The number +966 50 123 4567 with the message “مرحبا” gives: https://wa.me/966501234567?text=%D9%85%D8%B1%D8%AD%D8%A8%D8%A7
The local number 0501234567 on its own is rejected because it has no country code. With +966 picked from the list the first 0 is removed and the number becomes 966501234567.
Limits and caveats
- The tool checks the number format only (8 to 15 digits including the country code, not starting with 0). It cannot know whether the number exists or is registered on WhatsApp.
- Creating a link does not send a message. The pre-filled text appears in the message box, and whoever opens the link can edit or delete it before sending.
- Messages are limited to 1,500 characters so the link stays a workable length. This is the tool’s limit, not a published WhatsApp limit. Long Arabic messages may not fit in a QR code; the tool then shows the library’s error instead of a partial code.
- The country-code helper removes one leading 0 from the local number. That is right for the countries in the list, but some others (Italy, for example) keep the 0, so type those numbers in full yourself.
- This site is not affiliated with WhatsApp or Meta.
Questions about this tool
Why does a number like 05xxxxxxxx not work?
wa.me links need the full international number: the country code, then the number without its leading 0, and without + or 00. The Saudi number 0501234567 is written 966501234567.
Does the customer receive the message as soon as I create the link?
No. The link opens WhatsApp on a chat with your number with the text already typed in the message box. Nothing is sent unless the person presses send.
How do Arabic letters and line breaks survive inside a link?
The message is percent-encoded with encodeURIComponent, so each Arabic letter, emoji or line break becomes a sequence such as %D9%85. WhatsApp decodes it back to exactly what you typed.
How do I create a WhatsApp link for my number?
Type your number in international format with the country code, add a pre-filled message if you want one, then copy the wa.me link the tool shows. The link is https://wa.me/ followed by the country code and the number without its leading 0, and whoever opens it lands in a chat with you without having to save your number.
Where can I use a WhatsApp link?
Anywhere your customers can tap it: your Instagram or TikTok bio, a “Contact us” button on your website or shop, your email signature and text messages. For print, such as business cards, invoices and signs, turn on the QR code option and download it as PNG so people can scan it with their camera.
