XML sitemap generator
Paste your site’s URLs, one per line, or upload a .txt or .csv file, and get a sitemap.xml that follows the sitemaps.org protocol. The tool does not visit or crawl your site: it only converts the list you give it. It is an XML sitemap generator that works from your own list.

Processing and privacy: The result is calculated inside your browser and your data is not sent to any server.
How to use it
- Paste the URLs, one full URL per line starting with https:// or http://, or upload a text file.
- If you want a last-modified date, write it after the URL on the same line, such as https://example.com/page,2026-03-01, or enter one date for all URLs. Leave it empty and no date is written.
- Check the rejected lines by number and the duplicates, and choose the host to keep if the list mixes more than one.
- Download sitemap.xml, upload it to the root folder of your site, then reference it in robots.txt or in your webmaster tools.
Example
The URL https://example.com/about?x=1&y=2 is written as <loc>https://example.com/about?x=1&y=2</loc>, because & is written & inside XML.
The URL https://example.com/منتجات/ is written as <loc>https://example.com/%D9%85%D9%86%D8%AA%D8%AC%D8%A7%D8%AA/</loc>, because non-Latin characters are percent-encoded. The line “not a url” is rejected and its line number is reported.
Limits and caveats
- The tool does not crawl your site, discover pages or check that URLs work. It only converts the list you enter, so the list being complete is up to you.
- <lastmod> is written only when you supply the date yourself, on the line or as one date for all, in W3C format such as 2026-03-01 or 2026-03-01T09:30:00+03:00. The tool never invents dates, because a wrong date makes search engines trust the file less.
- <changefreq> and <priority> are not offered, because major search engines largely ignore them and Google has said it does not use them.
- Protocol limits: 50,000 URLs and 50 MB uncompressed per file, and 2,048 characters per URL. A longer list is split into several files plus a sitemap-index.xml and delivered as a ZIP.
- All URLs should use the same host and protocol as the place where the file is uploaded. The tool warns when hosts are mixed and lets you keep one, but it cannot know where you will upload the file.
- The #fragment is removed from URLs, and URLs containing spaces are rejected. Tested with 50,001 URLs; the maximum is 200,000 lines and 20 MB for an uploaded file.
- Text after the last comma counts as a date when it starts with four digits. If your URL really ends with a comma and four digits, encode the comma as %2C.
Questions about this tool
Does a sitemap guarantee my pages get indexed?
No. A sitemap only helps search engines discover URLs. Crawling and indexing remain their decision, and leaving a URL out of the file does not stop it being indexed either.
Where do I put the file and how do search engines find it?
Upload it to the root, for example https://example.com/sitemap.xml, because a sitemap in a subfolder only covers URLs in that folder. Then add a line such as Sitemap: https://example.com/sitemap.xml to robots.txt, or submit it in your webmaster tools.
Why was one of my lines rejected?
Only full URLs starting with http or https are accepted. Relative URLs such as /about, other schemes such as ftp:, URLs containing spaces and impossible dates such as 2026-02-30 are rejected. Each rejected line is listed with its number and the reason so you can fix it.
How do I create an XML sitemap for my website?
Paste your page URLs, one full URL per line, then download the generated file. https://example.com/ and https://example.com/about become a file with two <url> entries, each holding its <loc>. Upload it to the root of your site so it answers at https://example.com/sitemap.xml, then reference it in robots.txt or submit it in your webmaster tools.
How many URLs can one sitemap contain?
One sitemap file can hold at most 50,000 URLs and 50 MB uncompressed, under the sitemaps.org protocol. When your list is longer, the tool splits it into several files plus a sitemap-index.xml and delivers them as a ZIP, so a list of 120,000 URLs becomes 3 sitemap files and one index.
