Receipt generator

Enter the amount received, its date, the payment method, what it was for and both parties to get a clear PDF receipt in Arabic, English or both. The tool only formats the receipt; it does not verify that a payment actually happened. Use it as a simple receipt generator for cash, bank transfer or card payments.

Processing and privacy: The receipt is built inside your browser. Your data and your customers’ data are not sent to any server.

How to use it

  1. Choose the document language, then enter the receipt number, the date and an invoice reference if there is one.
  2. Enter the amount and currency and pick the payment method: cash, bank transfer, card or other, with details such as a transfer reference.
  3. Write what the payment is for, for example “Advance payment for order 120”.
  4. Enter your details as the party receiving the money, and the details of the customer who paid.
  5. Press “Create PDF”, check the preview, then download the file.

Example

The preloaded example: 1500 riyals received by bank transfer as an advance payment against an invoice. The summary and the file show the amount the same way: 1,500.00 SAR.

An amount with extra decimals such as 99.999 SAR is rounded to 100.00 SAR because the riyal has two decimals, while Kuwaiti dinars are shown with three, such as 25.500 KWD.

Limits and caveats

  • The tool does not verify that a payment happened and is not connected to any bank or payment gateway. The receipt is a document you issue on your own responsibility, and the PDF footer says so.
  • A single-amount receipt with no line items and no separate tax. Use the basic invoice generator for itemised documents. The amount is not written out in words.
  • The tool does not store receipt numbers or generate a sequence; type the number yourself. Nothing is saved after you close the page.
  • The amount is rounded to the currency’s smallest unit (2 decimals, or 3 for KWD, BHD, JOD and OMR). The maximum amount is 1,000,000,000.
  • The embedded font covers Arabic and Latin; emoji are replaced with “?” and you are told how many. Arabic diacritics may sit slightly off and Arabic text copied out of the PDF may paste in the wrong order.

Questions about this tool

Does this receipt prove that the payment was made?

A receipt is your own statement that you received the money, and the tool has no way of checking it. Issue one only after you have confirmed yourself that the money arrived.

What should I put in the payment method details?

Whatever helps match the transaction later, such as a transfer reference or the last four digits of the card. With “Other” the field becomes required because it names the method itself. Do not enter a full card number.

Can I link the receipt to an invoice?

Yes. Type the invoice number in the invoice reference field and it appears on the receipt. The link is text only; the tool does not check that the invoice exists.

How do I make a payment receipt?

Fill in the receipt number and date, who paid you, the amount and currency, the payment method and what the payment was for, then press “Create PDF”. The receipt generator lays these out with your details and a line for the receiver’s signature, in Arabic, English or both.

What should a receipt include?

A receipt should include a receipt number, the date, the payer and the receiver, the amount and currency, the payment method and what the payment was for. This tool has a field for each of these, plus an optional invoice reference, and leaves a line for the receiver’s signature.
