Image color picker
Click any point of your image to get its true color as HEX, RGB and HSL, then copy the value with one click. It is the quickest way to get the exact color code from a logo, a product photo or a screenshot.

How to use it
- Choose a JPEG, PNG or WebP image, or drop it on the box.
- Click or tap the point whose color you want. You can drag to move the marker and watch the magnifier.
- For precision, focus the image and move the marker with the arrow keys one pixel at a time (10 with Shift), or type the X and Y coordinates.
- Copy the HEX, RGB or HSL value. Every color you click is kept in the history, and you can copy the whole history.
Example
Clicking a pure red pixel shows #FF0000, rgb(255, 0, 0) and hsl(0, 100%, 50%). Clicking a pure blue one shows #0000FF, rgb(0, 0, 255) and hsl(240, 100%, 50%).
Limits and caveats
- The value comes from a single pixel of the original full-resolution image, not from the scaled preview. In JPEG images neighboring pixels differ slightly because of compression, so use the magnifier to pick a representative pixel.
- Values are sRGB as decoded by the browser. Images with other color profiles (such as Display P3 or Adobe RGB) may be converted to sRGB by the browser, so numbers can differ from what design software shows.
- For semi-transparent pixels the RGB values can be off by a level or two because of how Canvas stores transparency, and a fully transparent pixel has no meaningful color. The tool warns you in both cases.
- The history keeps the last 12 distinct colors for the current image only, and is cleared when you choose another image or reload the page.
- Tested limits: files up to 40 MB and 50 megapixels. The tool does not average an area or extract a palette; use the palette extractor for that.
Questions about this tool
Why is the code slightly different from my known brand color?
JPEG compression and resizing change pixels slightly, and the image may be saved with a different color profile. For the exact value use the original PNG of the logo if you have it.
Can I pick one exact pixel?
Yes. Type the X and Y coordinates, or focus the image and move the marker pixel by pixel with the arrow keys. The magnifier shows the surrounding pixels enlarged.
Is my image uploaded to a server?
No. The image is opened and its colors are read only inside your browser.
How do I pick a color from an image?
Open the image here and click the point you want: its color appears at once as HEX, RGB and HSL, each with a copy button. A pure red pixel, for example, shows #FF0000. Use the magnifier or the arrow keys to land on exactly the right pixel.
How do I get the HEX code of a color in a picture?
Click the pixel and press the copy button next to the HEX value to get a code such as #0000FF, ready to paste into design software or CSS. The history keeps the last 12 distinct colors from the same image, and you can copy them all at once.
