Merge PDFs

Combine invoices, shipping labels or catalog pages into a single PDF. Arrange the files before merging; every page keeps its original size and orientation. You can merge PDF files from a phone or a computer, up to 20 files at a time, without installing anything.

Processing and privacy: Your files are processed inside your browser and are not uploaded to any server.

How to use it

  1. Choose two or more PDF files, or drop them on the box. You can add more files later.
  2. Check the page count of each file, change the order with the move up and move down buttons, or remove a file you do not need.
  3. Press “Merge and download” to get a single file named merged.pdf.

Example

Merging a 3-page file sized 400×300 pt, then a one-page landscape file sized 600×300 pt, then a 2-page file gives one 6-page PDF: pages 1 to 3 from the first file, page 4 still 600×300 landscape, then the two pages of the last file.

Limits and caveats

  • Tested limits: up to 20 files, 100 MB and 500 pages per file, and 2000 pages in the merged document. Large files need more memory and can be slow on phones.
  • Password-protected or encrypted files are refused. The tool does not bypass protection.
  • Pages are copied with their content and annotations, but outlines (bookmarks), interactive form fields and document metadata are not carried into the merged file.
  • If one of the files is digitally signed, the signature will not be valid in the merged file. The tool warns you when it detects a signature.
  • The output is not compressed and image quality is not changed. The result is close to the combined size of the inputs.

Questions about this tool

Do page sizes change when I merge different files?

No. Each page is copied with its own size, orientation and rotation, so the result can mix portrait and landscape pages.

How do I reorder files with the keyboard?

Tab to the “Move up” or “Move down” button next to the file name and press Enter. Focus stays on the same file after it moves.

Can I add the same file twice?

Yes. It appears twice in the list and its pages are copied twice into the result.

How do I merge PDF files into one?

Choose two or more PDF files, put them in order with the move buttons, then press “Merge and download” to get one file named merged.pdf. Every page keeps its size and orientation, and you can merge up to 20 files at a time.

Can I merge PDFs on my phone?

Yes. The tool works in a phone browser just as on a computer, with nothing to install and no upload. Pick the files from your device, order them and download the merged PDF. Very large files need more memory and can be slower on a phone.
