How it is calculated
The size is turned into foot length, then into each system: EU = 1.5 × foot (cm) + 2, UK = 3 × foot (in) - 23, US men's = UK + 1, US women's = men's + 1.5, JP = foot length in cm. AU men's = UK and AU women's = US women's (ISO/TS 19407 formulas).

Inputs: System = US men's size, Size = 9. Result: Approximate foot length: 26.2 cm; US men's size: 9; US women's size: 10.5.
Limits and caveats
- Brands and models can differ from this chart by up to one size, so check the brand's own chart when you have it.
- Based on the ISO/TS 19407 formulas; US women's sizes follow the common scale (men's + 1.5).
- Foot width and shape are not taken into account.

Which chart does this tool use?
The ISO/TS 19407 formulas, which link each system to foot length with an allowance of two sizes, plus the common US women's scale (men's + 1.5).
Why do Australian men's and women's sizes differ?
Australia uses UK sizes for men and US sizes for women, so the same foot gets two different numbers.
Do the results work for children's shoes?
No. This tool covers adult sizes only; the UK and US children's scales start from a different point.
