Processing and privacy: The result is calculated inside your browser and your data is not sent to any server.
How to use it
- Enter inner diameter.
- The result appears straight away and updates as you edit.
- Copy the result, or copy a link that keeps the same values to share it.
How it is calculated
Second number = (diameter ÷ 25.4 − 2) × 16, rounded to the nearest even number from 2 to 14.
Example
Inputs: Inner diameter = 57 mm. Result: Nearest size: 2-4; Diameter of that size: 57.15 mm; Difference from yours: 0.15 mm.
Limits and caveats
- This is a common trade convention, not an international standard.
- Measure inside, not outside; the metal thickness changes the result.

My bangle is 57 mm inside. What size?
The nearest size is 2-4, which is 57.15 mm.
I am between two sizes. Which one?
Take the larger one if bangles pass over your knuckles with difficulty.
Why only even numbers?
Most shops stock even sizes like 2-2, 2-4 and 2-6; odd ones are rare.
