How do I compress a whole set of product photos at once and download them together?
Select all the photos together or drop them on the box, up to 30 JPEG, PNG and WebP files at a time. The format and quality you choose apply to every photo, the table shows each file's size before and after plus a total line, and the Download all button gives you a single ZIP with every compressed photo inside.
How a batch works
- You can mix formats in one batch: JPEGs from your phone, PNGs from your designer, WebPs downloaded from a supplier.
- Output format, quality and background color are shared by every image. Change any of them and the whole batch is re-encoded automatically.
- Each image gets a row in the table: name and dimensions, original size, output size, percentage change, and Download and Remove buttons.
- Under the table, a Total line adds up the sizes of all images before and after.
- The Download all button appears once two or more images are compressed, and gives you a file named compressed-images.zip.
A mixed batch, measured
Four images of different formats and sizes, compressed together in Chrome as JPEG at quality 80:
A 1600×1200 JPEG: 689.5 KB down to 250.9 KB.
A 640×480 PNG: 271.3 KB down to 35.2 KB.
An 800×600 WebP: 72.7 KB down to 49.2 KB.
An 800×600 JPEG: 95.4 KB down to 58.4 KB.
Total: 1.1 MB down to 393.7 KB, 65.1% smaller.
Every file shrank by a different amount, even with one setting. So read the table row by row: you may find one image that grew instead, flagged with a warning. Take it out of the list with its Remove button and keep its original before you download the bundle.
Step by step
- Open the Image compressor, press the button to choose files, and select every photo for the product or collection at once.
- Choose the output format and quality. JPEG at 80 is a safe start for most product photos.
- Wait for processing to finish, then check the Change column for each photo and the Total line.
- Look at the preview, which shows the last image in the list, and make sure the quality is acceptable.
- Press Download all to get one ZIP, extract it, and upload the photos to your store.
What the file names look like
Each image inside the ZIP keeps its original name with -compressed added and the new format's extension. So abaya-black.png becomes abaya-black-compressed.jpg if you chose JPEG. That makes it easy to match each file to its product and hard to overwrite an original by mistake. A practical tip: name your photos after the products before compressing, because names like IMG_4821 from your phone will not help you later. And if your photos are larger in pixels than your store needs, run them through the Image resizer first.
Common questions
Can I use different settings for each photo in a batch?
No, the settings are shared. If some photos need a higher quality, compress them in a separate batch.
How many photos can I add at once?
Up to 30, each up to 40 MB and 50 megapixels. Speed depends on your device.
Can I download just one photo from the batch?
Yes, every row has its own Download button.
