Are my supplier prices and order quantities stored when I make a PO on the site?
No. The purchase order is calculated and built inside your browser, and the only file the page loads from the site is the font, so your supplier prices and quantities never reach a server. Nothing is saved either, so the PDF you download is your only record of the order.
Why this matters for purchase orders in particular
Your buying price is what sets your margin. A competitor who learns you buy cartons at 1.85 from a particular supplier, or that you order 500 a month, knows more about your business than you would like. Some suppliers give you a special price on condition it stays private. A tool that sends those figures to a server asks you to trust an unknown party with sensitive numbers.
What happens, exactly
- You type the supplier, the items and the prices into the page.
- Totals are worked out on your device as you type, and the summary updates instantly without waiting on any server.
- When you press 'Create PDF', the file is drawn on your device using the font file loaded from the site.
- When you close the page, the data is gone. No account, no order history, no backup.
The other side: the copy is your job
Because the Purchase-order generator keeps nothing, any order you do not download is lost when the page closes, and there is no way to reopen an earlier order and edit it. A simple routine handles that:
- Download the file as soon as it is created; its name already carries the order number, such as purchase-order-PO-2026-0031.pdf.
- Save it in your purchasing folder, somewhere only the people who need it can reach.
- If you order the same items every month, keep the list and prices in a file of your own to copy from next time.
After you send it, privacy is in your hands
The tool's protection ends at the download. Once you send the purchase order to the supplier, it sits in their inbox and systems. Watch who gets it: do not forward an order with one supplier's prices to another supplier or to a customer, and do not paste it into a group chat with people who do not need it. If someone in the warehouse needs to know what is arriving without seeing prices, a packing list from the Packing-list generator shows items and quantities with no prices at all.
Common questions
Does it work offline?
The page and its font have to load first; after that the calculation and the file building happen on your device.
Does the site see the supplier's name or email?
No, what you type into the fields is not sent to the site.
