Is it safe to type my campaign spend, revenue and margin into an online ROAS calculator?

With our calculator, yes: the maths runs in your browser on your own device, the figures you type are not sent to any server, and the tool never asks you to connect an ad account or sign in. What remains in your hands is what you do with the result afterwards, which is what this article covers.

Why the question matters

Your margin is the figure a seller guards most closely. Anyone who knows your margin and ad spend knows how far you can cut prices and what you pay to win a customer. So do not type those numbers into any tool until you know where they go.

What happens when you use the calculator

  • The ROAS calculator is a page that runs entirely in the browser. The division and multiplication happen on your device, and the tool carries the line 'Calculated in your browser. Nothing is sent.'
  • There is no field to connect Meta, Snapchat or Google, and no request for access to your ad dashboard. That is a real difference from tools that pull data from your ad account, which gain permissions on the account itself.
  • You type only totals: revenue, spend and an optional margin. No campaign names, no customer names, no other detail.
  • The tool does not save your numbers. Reload the page and the fields go back to the sample values: revenue 1,000, spend 200, margin 40.

Example: you enter revenue of 18,000 AED, spend of 4,500 AED and a 30% margin. The result appears instantly on screen: ROAS 4x, ad share 25%, break-even 3.33x and an estimated profit after ads of 900. All of it appeared without uploading anything.

How to check for yourself

You do not have to take our word for it. Open your desktop browser's developer tools, go to the Network tab, and change the figures in the calculator. The result updates with every keystroke without any new request carrying your numbers. It is a good way to test any online calculator before you trust it.

What stays your responsibility

  1. The figures stay on screen while the page is open. On a shared computer or in an open-plan office, close the tab when you are done.
  2. The copy result button puts revenue, spend and ROAS on your clipboard, plus break-even, estimated profit and the verdict when a margin is entered, and your margin can be worked out from the break-even figure. If you paste it into a WhatsApp group or an email, you are the one sharing it, so check who receives it.
  3. A screenshot of the result shows your margin too if you entered it. Leave the margin out if you are going to show the result to an outside party.
  4. To share ROAS with an agency without revealing your margin, calculate without one: the tool then shows only ROAS and the ad share.

Common questions

Does the calculator work offline?

It needs a connection to load the page the first time; the calculation itself runs on your device.

Can anyone see my margin if I use it on my phone?

The margin is not sent anywhere. It stays on your phone's screen until you close the page.

Is the tool linked to any ad platform?

No. It is a standalone calculator that works only with the figures you type.
