How it is calculated

Bracelet length = wrist circumference + fit allowance: snug 1.5 cm, comfort 2 cm, loose 2.5 cm, or your own allowance.

Example

Inputs: Wrist circumference = 16 cm, Fit = Comfort (2 cm). Result: Bracelet length: 18 cm; Length in inches: 7.09 in; Allowance used: 2 cm.

Limits and caveats

  • The fit allowances are a common jewellers' rule, not a formal standard, and you can change them.
  • Rigid or wide bracelets need more room than thin chains.
