Processing and privacy: The result is calculated inside your browser and your data is not sent to any server.

How to use it

  1. Enter cells copied from excel, output csv delimiter and trim spaces around each cell.
  2. The result appears straight away and updates as you edit.
  3. Copy the result, or copy a link that keeps the same values to share it.

How it is calculated

Copying from Excel gives tab-separated text, which is split at tabs (multi-line quoted cells included); fully empty trailing rows and columns are dropped, then CSV is written with RFC 4180 rules.

Example

Inputs: Output CSV delimiter = Comma ,, Trim spaces around each cell = no. Result: CSV: product, price, qty Tea,12.5,3 Coffee,18,2 Dates,30,1; Rows: 4; Columns: 3.

product	price	qty
Tea	12.5	3
Coffee	18	2
Dates	30	1
product,price,qty
Tea,12.5,3
Coffee,18,2
Dates,30,1

Limits and caveats

  • Values come as Excel displays them, so formatted numbers like 1,200 and dates keep their display format.
  • Only the selected cells of one sheet are copied, and formulas arrive as their results.

Questions about this tool

Do I need to upload an xlsx file?

No. Just copy and paste the cells; nothing leaves your device.

When should I pick semicolons?

When your Excel uses a comma as the decimal mark, as in many European settings, or when the target app asks for it.

Why were empty columns at the end removed?

Selections often include extra blank cells, so they are dropped for a clean file. Gaps inside the data are kept.
