How it is calculated
EU size = the smallest size in the series 50, 56, 62 up to 164 that is at least the child's height: 50 + 6 × ceil((height minus 50) ÷ 6). Height 50 or less = size 50.
Example
Inputs: Child height = 100 cm. Result: EU size: 104 cm; UK size (age): 3-4 years; US size: 4T.
Limits and caveats
- US equivalents are approximate and brands can differ by one size.
- Height is a more reliable guide than age, since children of the same age vary in height.
Questions about this tool
My child is exactly 104 cm. Size 104 or 110?
Size 104 is made for heights up to 104 cm, but if they are growing fast, 110 gives more room.
Why do sizes jump by 6 cm?
That is the standard step in European kids sizes: 92, 98, 104 and so on.
How do I measure height accurately?
Stand the child barefoot against a wall, rest a flat book on their head and measure from the floor.
