- Some brands sell odd sizes like 39 and 41; this tool gives the nearest even size.
Questions about this tool
How do I measure my chest for a suit?
Wrap the tape around the fullest part of the chest under the arms, arms relaxed, without pulling it tight.
My chest is 41 in, do I pick 40 or 42?
At the halfway point the tool gives the larger 42, the usual advice so the jacket closes comfortably.
Is the jacket size equal to my chest?
The US number refers to the body chest in inches; the jacket itself is cut several inches larger.
