How it is calculated
Exact cm = inches × 2.54 (1 in = 2.54 cm exactly). EU size = the nearest whole cm, e.g. 15.5 in = 39.37 cm = 39.

Limits and caveats
- Some charts list 16 in as 40 and 18 in as 45 instead of 41 and 46.
