Processing and privacy: The result is calculated inside your browser and your data is not sent to any server.
How to use it
- Enter sheet, orientation and resolution.
- The result appears straight away and updates as you edit.
- Copy the result, or copy a link that keeps the same values to share it.
How it is calculated
Pixels = (length in mm ÷ 25.4) × DPI, rounded to the nearest pixel. Megapixels = width × height ÷ 1,000,000.
Example
Inputs: Sheet = A4 (210 × 297 mm), Orientation = Portrait, Resolution = 300 DPI. Result: Pixels at 300 DPI: 2480 × 3508 px; Megapixels: 8.7 MP.
Limits and caveats
- Does not include printer margins or bleed; add them if your print shop asks for it.
Questions about this tool
How many pixels is A4 at 72 DPI?
595 × 842 pixels, the same numbers PDF uses for A4 in points.
Which DPI should I use for print?
300 DPI is common for prints read up close, while 150 DPI is often enough for large posters seen from a distance.
Why do pixels change with DPI?
Pixel count scales with resolution, so a longer sheet or a higher DPI means more pixels.
