How it is calculated
EU kids sizes are body height in cm (EN 13402) in 6 cm steps: 50, 56, 62 and so on. Each size fits heights from 5 cm below the number up to the number, then it is matched to the UK age label and US size from the usual retail chart.

Inputs: US size = 4T. Result: EU size: 104 cm; UK size (age): 3-4 years; Child height range: 99-104 cm.
Limits and caveats
- US equivalents are approximate and brands can differ by one size.
- Height is a more reliable guide than age, since children of the same age vary in height.
