Processing and privacy: The result is calculated inside your browser and your data is not sent to any server.
How to use it
- Enter your weight on earth and body.
- The result appears straight away and updates as you edit.
- Copy the result, or copy a link that keeps the same values to share it.
How it is calculated
Weight there = your Earth weight × (surface gravity ÷ 9.80665). Force in newtons = mass × surface gravity.
Example
Inputs: Your weight on Earth = 70 kg, Body = Moon. Result: Your weight on the Moon: 11.56 kg; Force on you: 113.4 N; Ratio to Earth gravity: 0.165.
Limits and caveats
- Your mass does not change; only the pull and the reading of a scale calibrated to standard Earth gravity do.
- Gas giants have no solid surface, so their gravity is given at the 1 bar pressure level.
Questions about this tool
How much would I weigh on the Moon?
About one sixth of your Earth weight, so a 70 kg person would read about 11.6 kg.
Where would I weigh the most?
Among the planets, Jupiter, at roughly 2.5 times your Earth weight.
Does my mass change on Mars?
No. Mass is the same everywhere; only the weight drops because Mars' gravity is weaker.
