How it is calculated
If A is positive: decimal = 1 + A/100 and probability = 100 ÷ (A + 100). If negative: decimal = 1 + 100/|A| and probability = |A| ÷ (|A| + 100).
Example
Inputs: American odds = -110. Result: Decimal odds: 1.9091; Implied probability: 52.381%.
Limits and caveats
- Values between −100 and +100 are not valid American odds, so the tool rejects them.
- Implied probability includes the margin of whoever set the price.
