I only need page 7 of a catalog as an image; do I have to convert the whole file?
No. Type 7 in the Pages field before you press Convert, and only that page is rendered and handed to you as a single image. The other pages of the catalog are never drawn, so they cost you no time and no memory.
The Pages field does the work
Leave the Pages field empty and the tool assumes you want every page. Put a number or a range in it and it sticks to exactly that. It is the quick route when a supplier sends a 40 page catalog and all you want is this week's offer page to forward to a customer on WhatsApp.
- One page: type 7.
- Scattered pages: type 3 7 9 or 3, 7, 9. A space works as a separator just like a comma, so you get pages 3, 7 and 9.
- A page plus a range: type 3, 7-9 to get pages 3, 7, 8 and 9.
- A number beyond the last page shows an error right under the field, so a wrong conversion never starts.
What you see before converting
As soon as you type the page number, a line tells you how many pages will be converted and, under it, the pixel size of the result. An A4 page at 150 DPI shows as Pages 7: 1241 × 1754 px. You know the size before you wait for anything, and you can change the resolution if that is bigger or smaller than you want.
- Open PDF to images and choose the catalog.
- Type 7 in the Pages field.
- Pick PNG if the page is mostly text and tables, or JPEG if it is mostly photos.
- Check the size line, then press Convert.
- Press the download button under the thumbnail.
One image means a direct download
The Download all button, which packs everything into a ZIP, only appears when there are two or more images. With a single page you download the image itself. Its name is built from the file name and the page number, so page 7 of a 40 page file called catalog arrives as catalog-p07.png, ready to send without unzipping anything.
When a one page PDF is the better choice
If the customer wants the page to print or to keep as a document, an image is not always the right answer. Pull the page out as a small PDF with Split PDF instead, and the text stays selectable and searchable. For a quick share in a chat or a post, the image wins, because it opens instantly on any phone with no extra app.
Common questions
Can I convert only the first and last pages?
Yes. Type the first and last page numbers separated by a space or a comma, such as 1 40 for a 40 page file, and you get two images plus a ZIP if you want it.
Does the name change if I convert the page again at a higher DPI?
No. The name depends only on the file name and the page number, so rename the first copy if you want to keep both.
I typed a page number and no size line appeared. Why?
Most likely the number is higher than the page count or contains a character the field cannot read. The error message sits right under the field.
