Is it safe to type my client's tax number and address into an online invoice maker?
With our invoice generator, yes: the invoice is built entirely inside your browser, so the name, address, tax number and amounts are not sent to any server or stored anywhere. The flip side is that the tool has no copy of your invoices, so the PDF you download is the only one.
What actually happens when you press 'Create PDF'
The first time you create a PDF, the page loads the PDF-building library and the Arabic font file. These are fixed files from our site and carry none of your data. From then on everything runs on your device: reading the fields, working out the totals, drawing the pages and producing the file. There is no user account, no invoice database and no upload.
So you can enter your client's tax or commercial registration number, address and mobile number in the Basic invoice generator without that data passing through a third-party server.
Checking it yourself
- Notice there is no sign-up, no login and no 'save to my account' button: there is simply nowhere on our side for an invoice to go.
- If you know your browser's developer tools, open the network tab and watch while the PDF is built: no request carries the invoice data.
- Close the page and reopen it: your invoice is gone, because it was never saved.
The catch: there is no backup
Not storing anything protects your clients, but it makes you the only archive. If a file is lost, the tool cannot recover it, and you would have to retype the invoice with the same number and date. Some habits that help:
- Save every PDF straight after downloading into folders by year and month.
- Use a Latin invoice number such as INV-2026-0042 so it appears in the file name and is easy to search.
- Keep a small log of each invoice number, client, amount and status.
Where this privacy stops
The tool sends nothing, but once downloaded the file is in your hands: emailed, sent on WhatsApp or synced to cloud storage, it falls under those services' privacy. On a shared computer, delete it from the downloads folder after moving it.
And leave off what the client does not need. The tax and registration numbers are optional, so add them when the client asks or the transaction calls for it. Quotes built in the Quotation generator work the same way, inside the browser.
