Are the supplier prices I compare in this tool sent or saved anywhere?

No. The calculation runs in your browser on your device, and the prices, quantities and names you type are not uploaded to any server. The tool does not look up prices online either; it compares only what you type. A fixed line under the tool says as much: calculated in your browser, nothing is sent.

Why this matters for supplier prices in particular

A price you won after negotiating, or a volume discount a supplier gave you, is commercially valuable. A competitor who saw it could guess your margin, and another supplier who saw it would know the ceiling to come in under. So it makes sense to ask before typing those numbers into any website.

What happens when you compare

Say you enter Jeddah supplier with 100 pieces for 350, and Riyadh supplier with 500 pieces for 1,600. Your browser works out 3.50 a piece for the first and 3.20 for the second, and writes that the first is 9.37% more expensive. All of that happens on your device.

  • You can check this yourself: once the page has loaded, disconnect from the internet and change the prices. The result still updates.
  • Nothing is kept between visits: reopen the page and the tool starts from its built-in two-pack example, not your prices.
  • No account or sign-in is needed.

What stays your responsibility

  1. Copy result copies the full text, supplier names and prices included, to your device's clipboard. Think about where you paste it, especially in group chats.
  2. If you use the Unit-price comparison tool on a shared shop computer, close the tab when done so the next person does not see the figures on screen.
  3. If you would rather not have real names on screen at all, leave the Name field empty and the tool calls the options Option 1 and Option 2.
  4. When you order from the supplier you chose, send only their own price on the purchase order from the Purchase-order generator, not the whole comparison.

What the tool does not do as a result

Because it connects to nothing, it knows no market prices, cannot warn you that a price is high compared with anything beyond what you entered, and does not convert currencies at today's rates. It is a local calculator: exact about what you give it and silent about what you do not. If a quote carries a percentage discount, work out the price after it with the Discount calculator, also on your device, then enter it.

Common questions

Does it work the same on a phone?

Yes. The calculation runs in the phone's own browser.

Can I save a comparison to come back to?

There is no saving inside the tool. Copy the result and keep it in your own notes.

Are the names I type in the Name field sent?

No. Names stay on the page just like the numbers.
