Processing and privacy: The result is calculated inside your browser and your data is not sent to any server.
How to use it
- Enter comma csv, change decimal points to commas and trim spaces around each cell.
- The result appears straight away and updates as you edit.
- Copy the result, or copy a link that keeps the same values to share it.
How it is calculated
Lines are split at commas respecting quoted cells, then written with semicolons, quoting any cell that holds ;. With the option on, 3.5 becomes 3,5 and 1,234.5 becomes 1234,5.
Example
Inputs: Change decimal points to commas = no, Trim spaces around each cell = no. Result: Semicolon CSV: product;price;qty Tea;12.5;3 Coffee;18;2 Dates;30;1; Rows: 4; Columns: 3.
product,price,qty Tea,12.5,3 Coffee,18,2 Dates,30,1
product;price;qty Tea;12.5;3 Coffee;18;2 Dates;30;1
Limits and caveats
- Decimal conversion covers plain numbers like 3.5 and 1,234.5 only; scientific notation like 1e5 is left as is.
- Dates such as 2026.10.01 are not treated as numbers and stay unchanged.
Questions about this tool
Why does my file open in one column in Excel?
Your Excel expects ; as the list separator from its regional settings, and the file uses commas.
Should I convert decimals?
Turn it on if Excel reads 3.5 as text or a date; 3,5 then reads as a number in your settings.
Are commas inside text kept?
Yes, they stay as they are and need no quotes because the delimiter is now ;.
