Processing and privacy: The result is calculated inside your browser and your data is not sent to any server.

How to use it

  1. Enter value, from prefix and to prefix.
  2. The result appears straight away and updates as you edit.
  3. Copy the result, or copy a link that keeps the same values to share it.

How it is calculated

New value = value × 10^(from exponent - to exponent). For example 2.5 mega = 2.5 × 10^(6 - 3) kilo = 2500 kilo.

Example

Inputs: Value = 2.5, From prefix = mega M (10⁶), To prefix = kilo k (10³). Result: Converted value: 2500.

2.5
2500

Limits and caveats

  • Decimal prefixes only; binary prefixes such as Ki and Mi for storage are not included.
  • For squared or cubed units such as km² the exponent doubles or triples, so this tool does not apply directly.
