Questions about this tool

Why 11th and not 11st?

Because 11, 12 and 13 are said eleventh, twelfth and thirteenth, so they take th even though they end in 1, 2 or 3.

Does the rule apply to 111 and 112?

Yes. The last two digits decide, so 111 is 111th while 121 is 121st.

Should the suffix be superscript?

Both forms are accepted. Most modern style guides use plain text such as 1st.
