How it is calculated
Pixels = (size in mm ÷ 25.4) × DPI, rounded to the nearest pixel. Megapixels = width × height ÷ 1,000,000.
Example
Inputs: Width = 20, Height = 30, Unit = Centimetres, Resolution = 300 DPI. Result: Pixel dimensions: 2362 × 3543 px; Width: 2,362 px; Height: 3,543 px.
Limits and caveats
- Bleed is not added; many printers ask for an extra 3 mm on each side.
