Processing and privacy: The result is calculated inside your browser and your data is not sent to any server.

How to use it

  1. Enter snake_case names (one per line or inside text).
  2. The result appears straight away and updates as you edit.
  3. Copy the result, or copy a link that keeps the same values to share it.

How it is calculated

Each snake_case name is split into words at the underscores, and at any capital that follows a lowercase letter. The first word is then lowercased and each following word starts with a capital, with no separator. Symbols and spaces around the names are left as they are. Example: user_first_name becomes userFirstName.

Example

Result: camelCase result: userFirstName orderTotalAmount createdAt; Names processed: 3.

user_first_name
order_total_amount
created_at
userFirstName
orderTotalAmount
createdAt

Limits and caveats

  • Every word in the pasted text is converted, including keywords and library names, so review the result before pasting it into code.
  • Arabic and other scripts without capital letters lose their word breaks in this style, so the words run together.

Questions about this tool

Why does JavaScript use camelCase?

It is the common convention for variable and function names in JavaScript and Java and for most JSON keys in web APIs, so column names are converted before they reach the front end.

What happens to a leading underscore?

It stays as it is, so _private_value becomes _privateValue, since it usually marks an internal name.

What about numbers inside the name?

The number stays as its own part with no separator, so sales_2025_total becomes sales2025Total.
