Questions about this tool
How many bytes does an Arabic letter take in UTF-8?
Two, because the basic Arabic letters lie between U+0600 and U+06FF, inside the two-byte range.
Why does every second byte start with 10?
UTF-8 continuation bytes start with the bits 10, so software knows they do not begin a new character.
Is UTF-8 compatible with ASCII?
Yes for 0 to 127. Any ASCII text is valid UTF-8 with the same bytes.
