Processing and privacy: The result is calculated inside your browser and your data is not sent to any server.
How to use it
- Enter arabic text.
- The result appears straight away and updates as you edit.
- Copy the result, or copy a link that keeps the same values to share it.
How it is calculated
Diacritics are removed; أ إ آ use the code of ا, ى and ئ that of ي, ؤ that of و, ة that of ت; then each letter is replaced by its pattern and words are split by /.
Example
Result: Arabic Morse code: -- .-. .... -... .- / -... -.- --; Characters converted: 8; Unsupported symbols: None.
مرحبا بكم
-- .-. .... -... .- / -... -.- --
Limits and caveats
- Taa marbuta, alif maqsura and the hamza seats have no code of their own, so they are sent with their base letters as is common, and the difference is lost on decoding.
- Latin letters are not supported here because their patterns overlap the Arabic ones.
Questions about this tool
Is Arabic Morse different from English Morse?
Yes, it is a separate table. Some patterns match, such as ا and A, but ش is ---- which has no Latin letter.
How is a standalone hamza ء sent?
As a single dot, the same pattern as E in the Latin table.
Do diacritics change the result?
No. Vowel marks and shadda are not sent in Morse, so they are removed first.
