How to change English letters to upper or lower case

Your product names are written in a mix: “iphone” here, “IPHONE” there and “Iphone” elsewhere. Or you typed a whole English heading in capitals and want it normal. Retyping it is dull, and converting it takes a second.

Arabic is left alone

Arabic has no capital and small letters at all, and neither do Hebrew, Persian or Urdu. So the tool only changes Latin letters and similar scripts, and Arabic words and numbers stay exactly as they were. If your text has no letter with a case, the tool tells you so instead of showing an identical result as if something had happened.

Worked example

The line: «منتج iphone 15 pro جديد».

Upper case: «منتج IPHONE 15 PRO جديد». Only the two English words changed.

Title case: «منتج Iphone 15 Pro جديد».

And the line “the quick brown fox. hello world!” in sentence case becomes “The quick brown fox. Hello world!”.

The available cases

  • Upper case and lower case.
  • Title case, with a capital at the start of each word, suited to English headings.
  • Sentence case: a capital for the first letter after a full stop or question mark.
  • Inverted case, plus programmer cases like camelCase, snake_case and kebab-case.

How to do it

  1. Open the Text case converter and paste your text.
  2. Choose the case, and the locale if your text is Turkish or Greek.
  3. For title and sentence case, decide whether the other letters are lowered or kept as typed, to protect words like iPhone and USA.
  4. Copy or download the result.

What to know

  • Sentence case follows punctuation, so an abbreviation like “e.g.” is treated as the end of a sentence.
  • The tool knows no proper nouns, so “ahmad” only gets a capital when it follows a full stop.
  • The programmer cases are designed for Latin text.

For your product page links, the better tool is the URL slug generator, which lowers the letters, adds separators and removes symbols in one go.
