For my English product names on Amazon and Noon, should I capitalize every word or just the first one?
No tool can settle this for you: check the current style guide of the marketplace you sell on, because the rules change and we do not quote official requirements here. What the converter does is give you all three options in one click each: every word capitalized, every word capitalized except small words like for and and, or only the first word capitalized.
The three options on one product name
Take a name typed in lower case the way a busy seller writes it: arabic coffee beans for espresso and moka pot. Here are the tool's real results:
- Title Case: Arabic Coffee Beans For Espresso And Moka Pot. 8 characters changed.
- Title Case with «Keep English small words lowercase»: Arabic Coffee Beans for Espresso and Moka Pot. Only 6 changed, because for and and stayed small.
- Sentence case: Arabic coffee beans for espresso and moka pot. One character changed.
The second is the usual style for English book and article titles. The third reads most like a normal phrase, which helps with long names. The first is the simplest and the most common in product feeds, but it capitalizes every preposition.
How the small-words option works
It is an English style based on a fixed list of 20 words, including a, an, and, for, of, the and to; with is not on it. That is why With stayed capitalized in another test: case for iPhone 15 pro with USB-c cable became Case for Iphone 15 Pro With Usb-C Cable. Two problems show up there: With is capitalized, and iPhone and USB got mangled.
A second rule matters too: the first and last word of a line are never lowered. If a product name ever ended in for, it would stay For.
Protect brand names before converting
Names like iPhone and USB-C have their own capitalization, and the tool knows no brand names. The fix is «Lower the rest of each word»: turn it off and the tool raises only the first letter, leaving the rest as you typed it. The same name then came out as Case for IPhone 15 Pro With USB-C Cable. USB-C survived, and iPhone became IPhone, so fix that single letter by hand.
Steps
- Paste your product names into the Text case converter, one per line.
- Pick «Title Case» or «Sentence case» under «Target case».
- For title case, tick «Keep English small words lowercase» if you want headline style.
- Untick «Lower the rest of each word» if the names contain brands like iPhone or USB.
- Copy the result and check the brand names by eye before uploading.
Before you upload
- Check whether the marketplace limits title length, then measure your name in the Word and character counter. Changing the case of English letters does not change the character count.
- Arabic names on the same line are untouched, because Arabic has no capital and small letters.
- Pick one style for your whole catalog. Mixing two styles in one store looks messier than either style on its own.
Common questions
Is writing everything in capitals a good option?
The tool does it in one click, but long all-caps text is harder to read, and some marketplaces restrict it in their guidelines. Check the platform's guide first.
Does the tool know that Noon or Riyadh is a proper noun?
No. In title case every word gets a capital anyway; in sentence case it is lowered unless you untick «Lower the rest of each word».
