Does the WhatsApp link generator send my number or my customers' numbers to a server?

No. The link and the QR code are built inside the browser on your device, and the tool sends neither the phone number nor the message text to any server, nor does it contact WhatsApp. Data leaves your device only when you make it: when you open the link and WhatsApp receives it, or when you share the link and whoever gets it can read it.

What happens while you type

Everything the WhatsApp link generator does is simple text work carried out by your browser: it strips spaces and symbols from the number, converts Arabic-Indic digits, checks the length, then encodes the message and joins the pieces into a link. None of that needs the internet or a server; it all happens in the page in front of you. The QR code is drawn by a library loaded from the site itself, which also runs inside the page.

The tool has no account and no history of links you made. Close the page or press 'Reset' and the numbers and messages are gone from the fields.

When data does leave your device

  • When you press 'Open link': the browser opens the wa.me link, so the number and message reach WhatsApp, since that is what the link is for. How they are handled from then on is governed by WhatsApp's policies, not this site's.
  • When you copy the link and paste it somewhere: anyone who sees that place sees the link, with the number plainly inside it.
  • When you download the QR code: a PNG file is saved on your device, and its file name includes the number.

Customers' numbers in particular

If you use the tool to message customers without saving their numbers, rest assured it does not collect or keep those numbers. Do watch what happens outside it, though:

  • A link with a customer's number exposes that number to everyone who gets it, so do not post it or pass it to a third party.
  • A downloaded QR file carries the number in its name and its content; delete it once you no longer need it.
  • Your browser may remember what you type in form fields for autofill, depending on its settings; that is the browser's doing, not the tool's. The tool's number field is set not to autofill.

What about the site's statistics?

The site as a whole uses statistics to count visits and see which pages are used most; the details and consent options are on the privacy policy page. The tool itself does not send the number or the message as part of its work. If you handle sensitive numbers and want complete peace of mind, read the privacy page and choose the consent setting that suits you.

Common questions

Does the tool know whether a number is on WhatsApp?

No, because it never contacts WhatsApp. That is part of why it is private: it asks no one about the number. You find out only when you open the link yourself.

Is this site part of WhatsApp?

No. The site is not affiliated with WhatsApp or Meta.
