I have two branches with separate WhatsApp numbers; how do I send each customer to the right one?

Make a separate link for each number, write the branch name into each link's message, and publish the two links side by side under clear labels such as 'Riyadh branch' and 'Jeddah branch'. Customers pick their branch before they tap, so the chat reaches the right number, and the message tells you in its first line which branch they meant.

The trouble with one published number

Publish only one branch's number and every customer of the other branch messages it, then a member of staff redirects them by hand, and the first message and first impression are lost. Publish both numbers as plain text and customers have to save the right one and look it up. Two separate links fix both problems: each button opens a chat with its own branch's number.

Making the two links

  1. Open the WhatsApp link generator and pick +966 in the country-code helper.
  2. Type the Riyadh branch's local number, such as the example 0501234567, and the message «مرحبًا، أود التواصل مع فرع الرياض». The message is 33 characters and the number in the link is 966501234567.
  3. Copy the link and save it under the branch's name.
  4. Press 'Reset', pick +966 again, then type the Jeddah branch's number, such as 0559876543, with «مرحبًا، أود التواصل مع فرع جدة». That message is 30 characters and the number is 966559876543.
  5. Copy the second link and save it under its name.

'Reset' clears the number and message and puts the helper back to its first option, which is why you pick the country again. Before copying each link, check the 'Number inside the link' line: the easiest slip here is changing the message and forgetting the number, so both links go to the same branch.

Where to publish them

  • On your website or link page: two buttons side by side, each labelled with the branch and city, not one button followed by a question.
  • In a branch's map listing or its own page: that branch's link only.
  • Inside each branch: a QR code of that branch's link alone, on the counter or the printed receipt. Turn on the QR option in the tool and download it as PNG, or paste the link into the QR code generator if you need SVG or a larger print size.

Departments instead of branches

The same approach works if you have one number for sales and another for after-sales, or one for orders and one for complaints: a link per number, a message naming the department, and a clear label above each button. If you have one number answered by several people, the message alone is enough to route chats; you do not need a second link.

Bear in mind that the tool makes one link at a time, saves nothing, and cannot know whether each number is registered on WhatsApp. Test both links after publishing, from a different phone each if you can.

Common questions

Can one link open a list of branches?

No. A wa.me link carries a single number. Choosing between branches happens on your page before the tap, with two separate buttons.

A customer still messaged the wrong branch. What now?

It happens. The pre-filled message tells staff at once which branch the customer meant, so they can send the other branch's link to continue there.
