How to use it

- The result appears straight away and updates as you edit.
- Copy the result, or copy a link that keeps the same values to share it.
How it is calculated
The tool finds the Gregorian day whose Umm al-Qura date (Intl islamic-umalqura) equals your Hijri date, starting from an arithmetic estimate and checking day by day.
Example
Inputs: Day = 1, Hijri month = 9. Ramadan, Hijri year = 1,447 AH. Result: Gregorian date: Wednesday, 18 February 2026 (2026-02-18); Weekday: Wednesday; Days in this Hijri month: 30 days.
Limits and caveats
- Supported range is 1300 to 1600 AH; for older dates use the tabular calendar converter.
- Entering day 30 in a 29-day month shows an error.
Questions about this tool
Does it match the printed Umm al-Qura calendar?
Yes, it uses the Umm al-Qura table itself; for example 1 Ramadan 1447 AH is Wednesday 18 February 2026.
Why is day 30 sometimes rejected?
A Hijri month has 29 or 30 days, and the tool checks the month length in Umm al-Qura before converting.
Does it work for old birth dates?
Yes, for any date from 1 Muharram 1300 AH, which is 12 November 1882.
How do I convert a Hijri date to Gregorian?
Enter the Hijri day, month and year and the matching Gregorian date appears in the Umm al-Qura calendar, with the weekday. Example: 1 Ramadan 1447 AH is Wednesday 18 February 2026.
