Processing and privacy: The result is calculated inside your browser and your data is not sent to any server.

How to use it

  1. Enter html code and mark list items with "- ".
  2. The result appears straight away and updates as you edit.
  3. Copy the result, or copy a link that keeps the same values to share it.

How it is calculated

Remove comments and script/style blocks, collapse whitespace, turn <br> into a new line, paragraphs and headings into a blank line and <li> into "- ", then drop the remaining tags and decode entities.

Example

Inputs: Mark list items with "- " = yes. Result: Result: Summer offer Get 20% off all orders & free delivery. - Valid until 30 June - Online only; Characters: 90.

<h1>Summer offer</h1>
<p>Get <b>20% off</b> all orders &amp; free delivery.</p>
<ul><li>Valid until 30 June</li><li>Online only</li></ul>
Summer offer

Get 20% off all orders & free delivery.

- Valid until 30 June
- Online only

Limits and caveats

  • This is not a full HTML parser: a tag with ">" inside an attribute value may be cut wrongly.
  • Whitespace inside <pre> is not preserved, and only common named entities are decoded.

Are numeric entities decoded?

Yes, such as &#1575; and &#x41;, plus common ones like &amp;, &nbsp; and &quot;.
