Processing and privacy: The result is calculated inside your browser and your data is not sent to any server.
How to use it
- Enter text.
- The result appears straight away and updates as you edit.
- Copy the result, or copy a link that keeps the same values to share it.
How it is calculated
Capitals become U+1D434 plus position and small letters U+1D44E plus position, except h, which becomes ℎ (U+210E) because it was encoded earlier. Digits stay as typed.
Example
Result: Styled text: ℎ𝑎𝑡; Characters changed: 3.

ℎ𝑎𝑡
Limits and caveats
- These are Unicode math symbols, not a font: screen readers may read them as symbol names or skip them, and in-app search may not match them.
- Unicode has no italic digits, so digits and Arabic letters stay as typed.
Questions about this tool
Why does h look slightly different?
Italic h was encoded earlier as the Planck constant sign ℎ, so the tool uses it instead of an empty slot in the math block.
Why did the digits not change?
The math block has no italic digits, so digits keep their normal shape.
Is it different from italics in Word?
Yes. Word changes how letters look, while this swaps them for other characters, so the slant survives copying anywhere.
