Processing and privacy: The result is calculated inside your browser and your data is not sent to any server.
How to use it
- Enter cash and bank accounts, investments, shares and funds, property value, vehicles, other assets (gold, valuables) and mortgage balance.
- The result appears straight away and updates as you edit.
- Copy the result, or copy a link that keeps the same values to share it.
How it is calculated
Net worth = total assets − total liabilities. Debt to asset ratio = liabilities ÷ assets × 100.
Example
Inputs: Cash and bank accounts = 20,000, Investments, shares and funds = 50,000, Property value = 0, Vehicles = 40,000, Other assets (gold, valuables) = 0. Result: Net worth: 80,000.00; Total assets: 110,000.00; Total liabilities: 30,000.00.
Limits and caveats
- The result is only as good as your figures, so value property and cars at a realistic selling price, not what you paid.
- Selling costs or taxes you might pay when converting assets to cash are not deducted.
Questions about this tool
Is a negative net worth a problem?
It is common early in a career or after a large loan. What matters is that the number improves over time as you repay debt and save.
Should I include the home I live in?
Yes, at market value, and enter the remaining mortgage on it under liabilities.
How often should I calculate it?
Every 3 to 6 months is enough to follow the trend without reacting to short market swings.
