How to use it
- Enter text, maximum characters per line and split words longer than the width.
- The result appears straight away and updates as you edit.

How it is calculated

Questions about this tool
What width suits Git commit messages?
The common convention is 72 characters for the body and 50 for the subject line.
Are words split?
Not by default: a word longer than the width stays alone on its line unless you enable splitting.
Are paragraphs kept?
Yes. Each original line is wrapped on its own and blank lines stay.
