Processing and privacy: The result is calculated inside your browser and your data is not sent to any server.
How to use it
- Enter day, hijri month, hijri year and days (negative to subtract).
- The result appears straight away and updates as you edit.
- Copy the result, or copy a link that keeps the same values to share it.
How it is calculated
The Hijri date becomes a day number via Umm al-Qura, result = day number + days, then it is converted back to Hijri and Gregorian.
Example
Inputs: Day = 1, Hijri month = 9. Ramadan, Hijri year = 1,447 AH, Days (negative to subtract) = 90. Result: Resulting Hijri date: 2 Dhu al-Hijjah 1447 AH; Resulting Gregorian date: Tuesday, 19 May 2026 (2026-05-19); Start date in Gregorian: Wednesday, 18 February 2026 (2026-02-18).
Limits and caveats
- Uses Umm al-Qura, and the result must stay between 1300 and 1600 AH.
- It counts calendar days, including Fridays and holidays.
Questions about this tool
How do I subtract days?
Type the number with a minus sign, such as -30.
Is adding 30 days the same as one Hijri month?
Not always, since a month is 29 or 30 days; to add whole months use the add Hijri months and years tool.
Is the start day counted?
No, adding one day gives the very next day.
