How to use it
- Enter number of camels.
- The result appears straight away and updates as you edit.
- Copy the result, or copy a link that keeps the same values to share it.
How it is calculated
5 to 24: 1 sheep per 5. 25 to 35: bint makhad. 36 to 45: bint labun. 46 to 60: hiqqah. 61 to 75: jadhaah. 76 to 90: 2 bint labun. 91 to 120: 2 hiqqah. Over 120: 1 bint labun per 40 and 1 hiqqah per 50.
Example
Inputs: Number of camels = 30. Result: Due: 1 bint makhad; Sheep: 0; Bint makhad (1 year): 1.
Limits and caveats
- Follows the majority reading; the Hanafi school restarts the count after 120, giving different results there.
- The table is for camels grazing freely most of the year; camels kept for trade are zakated by value.
Questions about this tool

What if I have no bint makhad?
