  2. The result appears straight away and updates as you edit.
  3. Copy the result, or copy a link that keeps the same values to share it.

How it is calculated

Add: VAT = amount × 15 ÷ 100 and total = amount × 1.15. Remove from an inclusive price: amount before VAT = total ÷ 1.15 and VAT = total × 15 ÷ 115.

Example

Inputs: Amount = 1,000 SAR, Calculation = Add VAT to the amount, VAT rate = 15 %. Result: Total including VAT: 1,150.00 SAR; Amount before VAT: 1,000.00 SAR; VAT amount: 150.00 SAR.

Limits and caveats

  • The default 15% is the standard rate set by ZATCA (Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority) since 1 July 2020.
  • Some supplies are zero-rated or exempt, so change the rate when needed.
  • The result is arithmetic, not tax advice.

Registration is mandatory when your taxable supplies exceed 375,000 riyals a year and optional above 187,500 riyals.
