Processing and privacy: The result is calculated inside your browser and your data is not sent to any server.
How to use it
- Enter decimal bytes.
- The result appears straight away and updates as you edit.
- Copy the result, or copy a link that keeps the same values to share it.
How it is calculated
Each value is read as one byte (0 to 255), then the bytes are decoded as UTF-8: 216 179 = D8 B3 = س.
Example
Result: Decoded text: Hi; Characters: 2; Bytes: 2.
Limits and caveats
- Each value must be a byte from 0 to 255. Larger numbers such as Unicode code points are not accepted here.
Questions about this tool
Why is 216 on its own rejected?
216 starts a two-byte character in UTF-8, and the character is incomplete without the second byte.
Can I paste an array with square brackets?
Yes. Square brackets are removed, and commas or spaces between values work.
How do I decode numbers above 255?
Those are usually Unicode code points, so use the Unicode to text tool with the values in hex.
