Processing and privacy: The result is calculated inside your browser and your data is not sent to any server.
How to use it
- Enter text and separator.
- The result appears straight away and updates as you edit.
- Copy the result, or copy a link that keeps the same values to share it.
How it is calculated
The text is encoded to UTF-8 bytes and their decimal values are shown. The letter س = D8 B3 in hex = 216 179.
Example
Inputs: Separator = Space. Result: Decimal bytes: 72 105; Bytes: 2; Characters: 2.
Hi
72 105
Limits and caveats
- Values are UTF-8 bytes, so an Arabic letter gives two numbers, not its code point.
Questions about this tool
Why does س give two numbers instead of 1587?
1587 is the code point U+0633. This tool shows the UTF-8 bytes, which are 216 and 179.
Are English letters the same as ASCII codes?
Yes. A gives 65 and a gives 97, as in the ASCII table.
How do I use the output in code?
Choose the comma separator and wrap the result in brackets as a byte array.
