Processing and privacy: The result is calculated inside your browser and your data is not sent to any server.
How to use it
- Enter snowflake id, platform and time zone (optional).
- The result appears straight away and updates as you edit.
- Copy the result, or copy a link that keeps the same values to share it.
How it is calculated
Milliseconds since the platform epoch = ID >> 22 (that is floor(ID / 4194304)). Unix milliseconds = that + 1420070400000 for Discord (start of 2015), or + 1288834974657 for X.
Example
Inputs: Snowflake ID = 175928847299117063, Platform = Discord, Time zone (optional) = Riyadh (Saudi Arabia). Result: Date and time (UTC): 2016-04-30 11:18:25.796; Weekday: Saturday; Internal worker ID: 1.

Limits and caveats
- The date is when the ID itself was made, so a user ID gives the account creation date, not the date they joined a given server.
- X posts from before 4 November 2010 have sequential IDs with no time inside, so the result for them is wrong.
- Other platforms such as Instagram split the bits differently, so this tool does not apply to them.
Questions about this tool
How do I copy a Discord user or message ID?
Turn on Developer Mode under Settings then Advanced, then right-click the user or message and choose Copy ID.
How can I tell when a Discord account was created?
Copy the user ID and paste it here. The top 42 bits of the ID hold the milliseconds since 1 January 2015, which give the creation date.
Where do I find the ID of an X post?
It is the long number at the end of the post link after the word status, as in x.com/user/status/1212092628029698048.
