How to use it

  1. Enter calories per 100 g, protein per 100 g, carbs per 100 g, fat per 100 g and your portion.
  2. The result appears straight away and updates as you edit.

How it is calculated

Portion value = value per 100 g × portion weight ÷ 100, for calories, protein, carbohydrate and fat.

Example

Inputs: Calories per 100 g = 250 kcal, Protein per 100 g = 10 g, Carbs per 100 g = 30 g, Fat per 100 g = 10 g, Your portion = 40 g. Result: Portion calories: 100 kcal; Protein: 4 g; Carbohydrate: 12 g.

Limits and caveats

  • The result is only as accurate as the label and your weighing, so use a kitchen scale.
  • Cooked weight differs from raw weight, so use values for the state you weigh.

Questions about this tool

What is the difference between per 100 g and per serving?

Per 100 g is fixed for comparing products; the serving is set by the maker and may not match what you eat.

Does it work for drinks?

Yes, if the label is per 100 ml, enter your portion in ml instead of grams.

Should I weigh rice raw or cooked?

Follow the label; a label on dry rice means the raw weight.
