How it is calculated
Within a group, digit × unit (十=10, 百=100, 千=1000), and a unit with no digit before it counts as 1. Each group is multiplied by 万=10^4, 億=10^8 or 兆=10^12 and added: 百五 = 100 + 5 = 105.
Example
Inputs: Japanese numeral = 一億二千万. Result: Number: 120,000,000.

Limits and caveats
- In Japanese 百五 means 105, unlike colloquial Chinese where it means 150, so pick the right language tool.
- Only a trailing 円 is removed; fractions and decimals are not read.
