Processing and privacy: The result is calculated inside your browser and your data is not sent to any server.
How to use it
- Enter protein, carbohydrate, fat and alcohol (if any).
- The result appears straight away and updates as you edit.
- Copy the result, or copy a link that keeps the same values to share it.
How it is calculated
Calories = protein × 4 + carbohydrate × 4 + fat × 9 + alcohol × 7. Each share = its calories ÷ total × 100.
Example
Inputs: Protein = 30 g, Carbohydrate = 50 g, Fat = 15 g, Alcohol (if any) = 0 g. Result: Meal calories: 455 kcal; From protein: 26.4%; From carbohydrate: 44%.
Limits and caveats
- General Atwater factors are approximate; label figures can differ slightly when makers use food-specific factors.
- Fiber and sugar alcohols give fewer than 4 kcal per gram and are not separated here.
Questions about this tool
Why does the result not match the label exactly?
Rules allow rounding, and some labels count fiber at fewer calories, so small gaps appear.
How many calories are in a gram of alcohol?
About 7 kcal, closer to fat than to carbohydrate.
Where do I get the grams?
From the nutrition label, or from food composition tables after weighing the ingredients.
