Processing and privacy: The result is calculated inside your browser and your data is not sent to any server.

How to use it

  1. Enter data (separate numbers with commas, spaces or new lines).
  2. The result appears straight away and updates as you edit.
  3. Copy the result, or copy a link that keeps the same values to share it.

How it is calculated

Mean = sum of values ÷ count. Median = middle value after sorting (average of the two middle values when the count is even). Mode = most frequent value. Range = max - min.

Example

Result: Mean: 5.166667; Median: 4.5; Mode: 4.

Limits and caveats

  • When several values tie for the highest frequency, all of them are listed as modes.
  • The mean is pulled by extreme values; the median is more robust in that case.

Questions about this tool

When should I use the median instead of the mean?

Use the median when a few values sit far from the rest, as with salaries or house prices, because it barely moves when they change.

Can data have more than one mode?

Yes. If two or more values share the highest count the data is multimodal and every one of them is shown.

How do I enter the numbers?

Type or paste them from a spreadsheet, separated by commas, spaces or new lines. Arabic-Indic digits are accepted too.
